Second, the academic system.
The academic system is three years, and the study period is two to four years, with a minimum of two years and a maximum of four years. Those who meet the requirements for early graduation can shorten the training period from half a year to 1 year on the premise of completing the training plan.

The research direction of the master's degree in statistics for in-service graduate students in Xiangtan University School of Management is mainly composed of three directions: statistical information management, statistics and analysis of science and technology, and performance evaluation of public institutions. 1. Statistical information management
This direction mainly focuses on the theory, method and application of statistics from the perspective of social development statistical information management, and strengthens the research on the basic laws, index models and measurement methods of social development statistics, so as to provide theoretical basis for the research of national green GDP accounting, regional competitiveness evaluation, residents' happiness index evaluation and people's livelihood development statistics.
2. Statistics and analysis of science and technology
This direction is mainly aimed at the statistics and analysis of social information such as government management, science and technology education and medical security. Based on the structural equation model and method, focusing on the evaluation of public satisfaction of public services, this paper constructs the evaluation index model of public satisfaction of basic public services in China, which provides a basis for the government and its social functional departments to engage in statistical investigation, data analysis and information management.
3. Performance evaluation of public organizations
Based on the basic theories and methods of statistics, this direction mainly studies the performance evaluation of the government and related social organizations. Using statistical analysis model, the fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method system of government performance measurement is constructed from the aspects of measurement effectiveness, fuzzy variable regression and index adaptability, which solves the complexity and nonlinearity of government performance measurement and provides theoretical basis and practical scheme for the construction of service-oriented government.
Fourth, the thesis.
1. Basic requirements. The topic of the thesis should conform to the research direction and characteristics of the first-level discipline degree points, closely combine the research field and research topic of the tutor, and be carried out under the guidance of the tutor.
2. Opening report. Organize the opening report meeting at the end of the third semester or the beginning of the fourth semester. After obtaining the signature of the tutor, graduate students can submit the opening report to the tutor group and make the opening defense statement. The opening report should include the following aspects: the background and significance of the topic, a summary of the research status at home and abroad, the main research framework of the paper, the research work plan of the paper and the main references.
3. Mid-term inspection. Three months after passing the opening report of the thesis, the tutor is responsible for the mid-term inspection of the progress, speed and quality of the thesis work.
4. Publication of the paper. You must publish at least 1 academic papers in newspapers and periodicals at or above the provincial level before you can apply for dissertation defense. Applicants who reply in advance must publish at least two academic papers in journals included in CSCD or CSSCI.
5. thesis defense. After the paper is completed, it must be reviewed by the tutor. After the revision, the defense can only be attended after the signature of the tutor and the approval of experts inside and outside the school (at least 1 off-campus experts).
