Shanghai International Studies University, founded in 1949 and 65438+February, is the first foreign language college established after the founding of New China, and one of the birthplaces of foreign language education in New China. Shanghai International Studies University has two campuses, of which Hongkou Campus is located in the center of Shanghai, adjacent to Luxun Park and Duolun Road.
Songjiang Campus is located at the foot of Sheshan Mountain, the "top of Shanghai" on the outskirts of Shanghai, adjacent to Guangfulin Site, the "root of Shanghai". The two come down in one continuous line and have their own characteristics.
Sisu library is one of the central libraries of the National Library Union of Foreign Language Colleges, with two buildings and more than ten characteristic literature reference rooms such as Faisal Library.
At present, there are more than 1.246 million kinds of paper documents (covering 65 languages), 0/.45 million kinds of e-books, 0/.972 kinds of Chinese and foreign paper newspapers and periodicals, more than 20,000 kinds of e-journals, 78 electronic resource databases, and a self-built characteristic database 1.
