Wang Mang was renamed Tiaoquan County.

Chongquan County was re-established in the Eastern Han Dynasty.

Nanbaishui County was located in the 11th year of Taihe in the Northern Wei Dynasty (487).

In the second year of the Western Wei Dynasty (553), pucheng county was located in Puchi, hence the name.

In the fourth year of Tang Kaiyuan (7 16), Fengxian County was established.

In the 4th year of Song Huangkai (9 17), pucheng county was renamed as Jin. 1March, 949, Pucheng was liberated and rich in cultural relics. The five tombs of the Tang Dynasty, Qiaoling, Jingguang, Huitai and Taitai, outside the city, are built on the hills, which set each other off in interest, especially the stone carvings on Qiaoling are the most exquisite and gorgeous, ranking first among the eighteen tombs of the Tang Dynasty. 1988 was designated as a national key cultural relics protection unit by the State Council. The Tang Tower of the South Temple in the city echoes the Song Tower of the North Temple from a distance. In Ming and Qing Dynasties, the Hanlin Academy, Liulongbi, Wumu Library, General Yang Hucheng Memorial Hall, Memorial Hall and Xiang Hometown Archway were well protected.

There are many historical relics in the county museum, such as the inscription on the stone tablet of Jin Xiangong in Tang Dynasty, the monument to General Yunhui, the monument to the princess of Tang Dynasty, the monument to Gao Lishi, the monument to Yimen King, the epitaph of Su Xiaoci and the monument to Pucheng King Ancestral Hall. 1988, approved by the State Council as an open county.

In Pucheng's history, culture is prosperous and talents come forth in large numbers.

Party, Wang Ding, Jingwumu, and Yang Hucheng were all born here.

Energy mineral reserves are large, easy to mine and high in grade.

Pucheng county is located in Shanxi Energy Base of the State Council Energy Base Planning Office.

During the Eighth Five-Year Plan period, ten commodity bases of agriculture and animal husbandry, such as wheat, cotton, corn, rape, apples, crisp pears, cattle, sheep and chickens, have been built.

Known as the "granary of Shaanxi", agricultural special products such as apples, crisp pears and golden jujube are well-known at home and abroad and exported to Southeast Asian countries and regions, with great potential for comprehensive agricultural development.
