In addition to giving children the opportunity to read freely in the activity area every morning, our class will also give children some reading time in the form of collective lectures by teachers or independent reading by children during the transition period of daily life activities. Recently, however, the teacher found that many children didn't cherish books during reading, and many books were torn. Children will argue about an interesting book; Children who like fighting will use books as weapons; Some children will accidentally tear the pages when reading, tear them off and so on. Therefore, in view of this phenomenon, we reflect on the reasons:
1. It feels very interesting.
Many children get bored after watching it for a while. It's fun to tear books occasionally. Regardless of tearing books, children who like to tear books also have reasons for inattention.
2. Fingers should be developed
Children like to tear books when their fingers are developing, and develop their finger strength by tearing books.
3. The influence of adults
Some parents have a bad temper and tear up the book in front of their children, so that children can see it and will naturally tear it up. After all, parents are a mirror for their children.
For this phenomenon, Guan and I have also formulated corresponding measures:
1. Independent arrangement
In order to prevent children from littering and tearing books, the library area has specially set up bookshelves for children, so that children can develop the habit of putting books in order after reading, and at the same time cultivate their habit of sorting, which is very beneficial to their future development.
Enhance consciousness
Some children don't know how to care for books and have no awareness of this. Usually, children can be infected with short videos and stories to let them know the importance of protecting books, which is better than direct oral education.
lead by example
If you want children to love books, you must first set a good example for yourself. You can't put books in front of children casually, put them away after reading, and don't take them out when you are angry.
Choose carefully
For children in small classes in kindergartens, they know fewer words. Therefore, a variety of picture books suitable for children's age characteristics have been prepared: more pictures and fewer words. Children can't put it down, which reduces the phenomenon of tearing books and scribbling.
The child is still young. In this case, we should not only lead by persuasion, but also set an example, always remind children, guide them to love books, and help them develop the good habit of loving and protecting books.
