Nanhu Campus is located in Nanhu Lake, Hongshan District, Wuhan. Xiongchu Avenue divides Nanhu Campus into South Campus and North Campus, covering an area of 138+02 hectares. The south yard looks at Shucheng Road in the east, Dingziqiao South Road in the west, Wenzhi Street in the south, Xiongchu Avenue in the northeast and Lingnan Road in the northwest. The north campus looks at Luoshi Road in the east, Shipailing Road in the west, Xiongchu Avenue in the south and Hongda Lane in the north, which are the connecting areas between Mafangshan Campus and Nanhu Campus. Planning and layout is a big information subject characterized by IT.
Nanhu campus is the main campus of the key construction of the school. Nanhu Campus is a concentrated place for freshmen, with more than 6,000 freshmen settling in every year. Functionally, it is the relatively centralized and complete main campus of the school, including the main building, main library, basic experimental building, quality education center for college students, international academic exchange center, gymnasium, student apartments, student canteens and other major buildings.

Walking into Nanhu Campus, you can see the landmark building Nanhu Library on the central axis at a glance. Nanhu Library is named Heart Building (which embodies the highest life realm of science and technology masters and echoes the lofty university ideal of "building an excellent university that people are satisfied with and admired by the world" engraved on its north pedestal).
The main body of the library stands on a high platform, and the main entrance of the library interprets the traditional wooden structure with steel structure by splitting and reorganizing the traditional bucket arch and bent frame. The east and west facades are covered with wooden metal plates, and the campus history and culture are carved through abstract seal characters. Abstract interpretation of Chu culture, so that historical details can be continued and passed down in new buildings.
