Sichuan Song Porcelain Museum, located on the east side of the northern section of Qicai Road in chuanshan district, is an AAA-level scenic spot assessed by the National Tourism Administration. Originally Suining Museum, it was built in 1984. In February 2006, with the approval of Sichuan Provincial Cultural Relics Bureau, it was named Sichuan Song Porcelain Museum. The museum covers an area of 12 mu, with a building area of 5000 square meters.
By 2009, the museum had 10032 cultural relics, including 3 national first-class cultural relics, 342 national second-class cultural relics and 3 national third-class cultural relics 1063. The main contents of the exhibit are 199 1. The bronze wares of the late Southern Song Dynasty, which were salvaged in Jinyu Village, Suining in September, are displayed in Longquan celadon lotus leaf jar, Longer Lu furnace, Jingdezhen celadon plum bottle and so on.
Development history
Sichuan Song Porcelain Museum was established in 1984, with the original site of guangde temple (the national cultural relics protection unit) as Suining Museum.
Former Suining Museum
199 1 year, a large Song Dynasty porcelain cellar was discovered in Jinyu Village, Suining City. After cleaning and excavation, 1005 pieces of complete and recoverable cultural relics were unearthed, including 985 pieces of porcelain, 8 pieces of bronze/kloc-0 and 2 pieces of stone carving.
1988, moving to the Heavenly Palace (provincial cultural relics protection unit).
In September 2003, the new museum was completed and opened to the public.
On February 20th, 2005, Sichuan Provincial Cultural Relics Bureau officially approved the renaming of Suining Museum as "Sichuan Song Porcelain Museum" with the document of Sichuan Wenbohan [2006] 103.
In August 2007, the renovation project of the museum was completed and put into use.
On April 1 day, 2009, it was officially opened to the public free of charge.
On September 27th, 20 19, Suining Museum of Sichuan Song Porcelain Museum (No.613, Xishan North Road) was closed and moved to the new Suining Cultural Center (east of the northern section of chuanshan district Qicai Road), which was opened to the public free of charge on September 30th.
