Why can't a university be without a library?
If we study it as a big problem, the library can discuss it from the aspects of knowledge dissemination, document management, document tracking, information provision, electronic library materials and so on.

If you just ask what the library is for in the university, then for a student, the library has several functions:

Self-study venue, electronic reading (basically online database search), electronic audio-visual (basically audio-visual game room), reading periodicals and magazines (for research and entertainment), reading novels, reading materials, reading professional books, borrowing learning auxiliary questions and reviewing materials.

It is comprehensive enough, because I have taken a course in library information.
