Baoji University of Arts and Sciences is located in Baoji City, Shaanxi Province. The school is an excellent school in Shaanxi Province, a "domestic first-class discipline construction university", a master's degree awarding unit and a doctor's degree awarding unit, and an "undergraduate teaching level evaluation" by the Ministry of Education. It is a member of the strategic alliance of the "Belt and Road" universities.

The school was formerly a provincial undergraduate Baoji University founded by 1958 and closed by 1963.
