Introduction: The Library of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region is a comprehensive public library at the autonomous region level, an academic social and cultural educational institution that provides literature information services to the public, a central library of the public system in the whole region, and an important part of Xinjiang's science, education and cultural undertakings. Under the leadership of the Cultural Department of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region. The Library of Xinjiang Autonomous Region was founded in August 1930, formerly known as the Library of Xinjiang Province, and changed its name to the People's Library of Xinjiang Province in October 1949. 1955 10 Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region was established, and the provincial people's library was renamed Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region library. 1958 A new building with a building area of 2300M2 was built in Xinhua South Road, Urumqi. On July 24th, 1986, a new building was built at No.4 Beijing South Road, Urumqi. The new library covers an area of 55 mu, with a total construction area of 24,700 square meters, a designed collection of 3 million books and 2,500 reading seats. The new building was finally officially completed and opened on1October 23rd. 1999. The library of Xinjiang Autonomous Region has 77 staff members, who come from six ethnic groups, including Han, Uygur, Kazak, Hui, Mongolian and Ke. Its main institutions are: curator's office, personnel security department, administration department, editing department, Chinese lending department, newspaper reading department, folk literature department, foreign language literature department, reference department, ancient books collection department, electronic literature department and research counseling department.
