Creative characteristics

Mr. Chen regards the ingenious combination of traditional culture and modern culture, sincere feelings for folk customs, a homesickness and dual environment (that is, his hometown where he grew up and his hometown where he worked) as the deep foundation and inexhaustible source of his description of homesickness, homesickness and local accent. Walking into a strong poetic rhyme of homesickness is like knowing Gu Lin by drinking Langjiu. His homesickness is strong and his literary mood is beautiful-Mr. Guang Zhi's homesickness interprets his humanistic spirit in literature.

Prose fiction

In the author's essays and novels, there is a local flavor everywhere, and you can always see the green trees, clear springs, paths and mountain shadows in your hometown. In In Three Provinces of Ji Ming, the author wrote about his hometown and foreign land. It is today, it is childhood. Maybe it was a childhood dream, and I was awakened by the crow. "The crow seems to rise from the ground again, one after another, from far and near, from fine to grand, echoing from east to west, as if singing from Guizhou to Yunnan, and from Yunnan to Sichuan, singing in the mountains connected with these three provinces. We listened with great interest, and our sleepiness completely disappeared. In the sketches such as Unknown Temple, Kitchen Story, Brother Without Mouth and Lantern Player, Lantern Festival, Three-sided Ancient Crossing, Yutang Moon, etc., the charm of southern Sichuan is like a simple ink painting, like a gripping folk song. According to the folk customs, folkways and people's feelings in mountainous areas, the author drew a simple New Year picture "Lantern".

Mr. Chen's prose is as vivid and touching as people and things in life, and so are his novels. Well, Mr. Chen Er, everyone respects him and is close to him. He also wants to joke with his classmates and tell the truth. "He was hired from the countryside, about 50 years old, short and fat, wearing a fur hat and a blue cloth robe. When he laughed, his eyes narrowed into a crack, his beard was straight, and his mouth looked more forked and longer. It is not an unearthed cultural relic, but also lives like a' treasure king'. " (Teacher Chen Er) Teacher Chen Er came alive with the image of an old-fashioned scholar with a local flavor. The Woman with a Flower on Her Waist is a novella woven from a legend circulating in the mountainous area at the junction of Yunnan, Guizhou and Sichuan, which tells a legendary story that happened in the mountainous area in the early days of liberation. The love entanglement between Chen and Yang, as well as the emotional entanglement between Master Liang, Mama Lu, Juner, Susu and Hu, constitute this legendary story of love and hate with local color, which is vivid and touching and pleasing to read. A childhood Castanopsis kawakamii tree in my hometown, two Cycas trees at No.2 Buhou Street, several teachers and alumni in my life, and a group of characters in my works have almost condensed the author's feelings all his life.

reportage

Mr. Chen's reportage recorded the figures of different times from the 1920s to the 1970s, poured the author's love and hate for those figures and events, revealed the emotional scars of the times, and left a truth and reflection on history. Salt Burning Workers Without Names shows the bitter life of a generation of salt burning workers in the old society in a vivid style. Liu Pingshan, Liu, Uncle Yao, Aunt Yao, and Bearded Cai; Hu Fenxian, Ma Yutang, Wang He's Cooking Lamp is vivid and touching. The protagonists of three reportages, Candles Burning in the Storm, How Flowers Are Red, and White Hair and Red Hearts, are all young people who grew up under the red flag. They have deeply branded the ideological brand of the new generation of young people in China: they believe in the Party, love the motherland, love the people, love their jobs, be diligent and thrifty, and shine with the humanistic brilliance of the times. Yi Min first set up a factory for the school and worked hard for the children. He has been running around for decades and is old and sick. Shoutian Cheng was bullied during the "Cultural Revolution" and believed in the party and the future. He finally saw the light of day, returned to work, was loyal to education and returned to the motherland. Teacher Zhang Qixiang sacrificed everything to help educate and help the poor, collecting scrap steel and sports equipment. He was regarded as the object of dictatorship by the Gang of Four, but he still ignored his personal safety. During the Cultural Revolution, he often broke into the campus to guard children's favorite sports equipment.

The author's reportage has the characteristics of times, culture, folklore, foresight and literariness. In particular, some famous sentences in The Unknown Salt Burner and Candles Burning in the Rain are vividly on the paper: "Liu Pingshan walked to the big grave fort and saw black smoke rolling in the sky, filled with fog, and it was dark for half the sky, and the mountain was almost covered by smoke. The dense and tall derrick is also entangled in smoke, and the rope pulled on the derrick covers the ground from the sky like a spider web. " "Most of the classrooms are dilapidated mud walls and grass roofs, and there are two tile houses, which are also the legacy of the former Xiajia ancestral hall. The desks in the classroom are rickety, and some of them are made of mud and stone. The old teacher told her that this school is' the home of the Manchu Dynasty, the table of the Kuomintang, and the son of the * * * production party'. " Vivid language shows the hard life of ordinary people like pictures.

Poetry couplets

Mr. Chen vividly expressed his thoughts with rich folk songs and ancient poems. "My hometown is full of dreams, and I will return to Qingming. The bosom friend is naive, and the villa is warm with tofu. A lantern flies with tears, and Sanxunlang is drunk. Laugh and watch the mountains dance together, and the quicksand rocks on the Martian ridge. " Childhood friends get together to raise their glasses and reminisce about old feelings like wine. Another song "Xu You Yong Shan Xiang" is also like a song: "The ancient house is at the mouth of Canglin River, and the setting sun is raining. The terraced fields are full of clouds and the Ninghe River is full of water. The small temple misses the old friend, and the double bridge has a moon to comfort the homesickness. When the spring breeze blows the sword, I will make a phoenix tour with you. " This is an interesting trip to the country with friends. The author's feeling of mourning is also like thinking about autumn: "The young man drifted to the east of Yongcheng, and the small garden was surprised at first sight. The trees are whispering and smiling, only the oranges by the fireside are red. The long street sends pity, while the heavy building locks hate the poor road. I haven't practiced the golden ring hook in my life, and I hope Danshan hates it. " Reading this poem is like listening to erhu solo. Adagio is euphemistic and lingering, and homesickness arises spontaneously. Some of Mr. Chen's allegorical folk songs are very distinctive: "Pass on the roof, feast to learn to copy the dragon hand, and treat others like Tang Yuan." Attacked some social vulgarity. "Paddy field planted, go to catch the field. The man raised the new' Phoenix', and his wife leaned on the back shelf, shaking all over. " The description of local flavor is very contemporary.

In the combination of folk songs and modern poems, and in the combination of ancient poems and new poems, the author is very exploratory. The poems written are easy to understand and catchy, quickly reflect the changes of the times, create humanistic spirit and show the style of the times.

Chen's couplets are also quite charming. These couplets are often the feeling of famous mountains and resorts. Friends love each other, passion is fleeting, and God stays in the years. "Mourning for Teacher Ai Wu" is long and profound: "The fog in southern Yunnan, the pheasant in Nomura, the cold light in Madian, the smoke from the ancient temple, and the half bottle of ink on the neck have all turned into masterpieces, and the three southern tours are really exemplary; Yangon Spark, Zuolian Zhuangge, Anshan Red Furnace, Xichuan Cabin, all people's hearts are full of blood, all for worrying about the country and the people, and they have been tempered into steel for thousands of years. " Couplets record Ai Wu's life footprint and praise Ai Wu's moral character. The author said: "come to the mountain, pick some red leaves and white clouds, and help you with three cups of Langquan wine;" Go home, pick two handfuls of flowers and wild fruits, and drink a pot of tea with me. " ("Mars Mountain Park Alliance") is written in a natural and unrestrained manner, with a long charm and a beautiful meaning.

Personality assessment

The death of Comrade Chen has caused us to lose a good leader, comrade and comrade-in-arms, which is a great loss for the cause of literature. Sichuan literary circles expressed deep condolences. (Obituary of Sichuan Writers Association)

"In the 1980s and 1990s, as a literary and art official in Sichuan Province, Mr. Chen paid special attention to and cared for young writers like me in various literary and art activities he organized. There is no official airs at all, and there is no arrogance of previous writers. People are easy-going, kind, honest and sincere. " (Comment by the poet He)
