Daqing Opera House was completed on March 20th, 2008. The name of the school was inscribed by He Jingzhi, a famous poet in China and the author of the opera White-haired Girl. The sound reinforcement system is manufactured by Beijing Zhong Da Huatang Electronic Technology Co., Ltd.. The dimming system of the Opera House adopts Italian, German and Belgian technologies. Daqing Opera House is a monument of Daqing's great cultural construction.

The opera house is surrounded by libraries and museums on both sides. The three buildings with strong cultural atmosphere depend on each other and end with a fan-shaped roof extending into the air, which highlights the central position of the opera house. The Opera House became the last symbol of the central square landscape. The aluminum grille shapes with different images and exaggerated scales on the roof of the theater have formed distinctive features in both east and west directions. The rigorous design style of the whole building reveals a trace of Daqing spirit.

Daqing Opera House has a total construction area of 23,000 square meters. The whole stage is in a typical inverted shape, with two semi-elliptical orchestra pit lifting platforms at the front end. The main stage consists of five small stages arranged in turn from front to back. There are 48 mono channels in the sound control room to ensure the sound quality of the cinema.
