Our library was founded in June 1983, and it is a comprehensive university library.

The existing building covers an area of 4200 square meters. The library has a relatively complete collection of literature resources, covering all disciplines and majors in the hospital, with a collection of more than 320 thousand paper books; 250,000 electronic books; 1080 journal; At present, there are more than 20 kinds of newspapers 1, with mirror sites of CNKI China Knowledge Network, 9 photo albums and self-built thematic database1.

In 2000, libraries began to use automated management systems. With the continuous development and expansion of library scale, in April, 2007, the library updated its automatic management system and introduced the integrated system of Xinyang General Library of Qingda University, which fully realized the networked integrated management of interview, cataloging, book reservation, circulation and lending, periodical management and public retrieval. There are 6 servers and 2 disk array cabinets (with a capacity of 2.5T) in the museum. The library website is connected with the college and education network, providing readers with all-round network services such as bibliographic inquiry, online browsing and downloading of electronic periodicals and digital books, and multimedia playback. It has built an advanced service platform for readers to make full use of library resources. The museum has five departments: office, editing room, circulation department, periodical reading department and electronic reading room. The periodical reading room is divided into six reading rooms, namely, current reading room, back reading room, newspaper reading room, reference reading room and reference reading room, with 500 reading seats. There are three electronic reading rooms and 165 microcomputers. There are 20 cadres and workers, including 4 with senior titles and 2 with intermediate titles/kloc-0. The staff of our library actively carried out business research, published 24 academic papers in national and provincial academic journals in the past three years, and undertook and completed 3 municipal projects.

Over the years, our library has made remarkable achievements by pioneering and innovating and forging ahead. 1988 was identified as one of the collection points by UNESCO; 1July, 1993, he became a member of the Standing Committee of the Library and Information Work Committee of National Higher Vocational Colleges; 65438+May 0996 Deputy Director of North China Sub-committee; 200165438+February "China Digital Library Handan Vocational and Technical College Branch" was established. In 2003, our library became the first training base to jointly train digital library information processing technology professionals with China Digital Library. In 2003, it became the basic node of "National Cultural Information Resource Sharing Project"; In May, 2007, he served as the vice president of Hebei Higher Vocational College Library Work Research Association.

Based on the tenet of reader first and service education, the library will constantly improve its service system, improve its service level, fully serve teaching and scientific research, and strive to become a comprehensive library with the characteristics of higher vocational and technical education, complete service facilities and advanced management methods.
