Huili, located at the junction of Sichuan and Yunnan, is an ancient city with a history of more than 2,000 years and a national historical and cultural city approved by the State Council.
Huili County is 0/85km away from Xichang City and surrounded by mountains. No matter which way you enter Huili, you have to go through the winding Panshan Road.
The beauty of Huili lies in the sunshine. Abundant sunshine, with an average annual sunshine of 2400 hours. There are four distinct seasons in a day, with no severe cold in winter and no intense heat in summer. It is called "Little Spring City".
The beauty of Huili lies in the ancient city. Huili Ancient City was built according to the remaining gangue in Yu Xu. It is narrow from east to west and long from north to south. It looks like a ship, so it is also called "Ship City". The Bell and Drum Tower and the North Gate are the landmark buildings of the ancient city. With the Bell and Drum Tower as the center, four streets criss-cross east, west, north and south, preserving a complete pattern of the ancient city.
The shops in Gucheng Street are all wooden buildings with blue tile roofs on the first floor and the bottom. There are hollow carved wooden windows on wooden buildings, grass and moss hanging on corrugated walls, and plaques hanging on antique storefronts.
Up to now, there are still 17 complete alleys in the ancient city, among which Hakka Lane with rich calligraphy and Xicheng Lane where caravans and business travelers gather are the most distinctive, and there are many complete courtyards of traditional houses in Qing Dynasty. Slate fragments worn by years give off a faint luster in the drizzle; An ancient courtyard wall and doorway tells the ancient customs of Ming and Qing dynasties that passed away in the sunshine.
Huili ancient city is like a pot full of old wine. Thousands of years, thousands of years of vicissitudes and thousands of years of human nature have made this pot of strong old wine.
