Readers who tear up books and periodicals should be compensated according to the seriousness of the case. Serious damage must be compensated for the original books and periodicals Original books and periodicals that cannot be compensated shall be dealt with according to the regulations on lost books, and a fine of 10 yuan shall be imposed, and a notice shall be given. 10. If you declare the lost books during the borrowing period, you will be given three months to try to compensate (it must be books of the same edition or books of the new edition after approval). If you compensate within this period from the date of the expiration of the borrowing period, you will not be fined; If the original book is found after the loss is reported, it will still be handled according to the overdue payment system, and the book borrowing will be stopped before the compensation. If the original book cannot be compensated, compensation shall be made according to the following provisions: 1 1. Chinese books: according to different publishing years, compensation shall be made according to the following proportions:
(1) According to the publication time, compensation shall be paid at 5 times of the original book price within 10 years;
(2) According to the publication time, 10 years or more (inclusive) is 8? 10 times compensation;
(3) After the books published before1970 are revalued (calculated at current prices), they will be fined 10 times. 12. Foreign language books: according to different situations, compensation shall be made in the following proportion.
(1) copy; According to the specific situation, the original price is 5? 10 times compensation;
(2) original books: original price 10 times;
(3) For foreign language books published before1970, after calculating the original price at the current price, the compensation shall be 10 times;
(4) If a full set of books is lost, 1 volume or several volumes shall be compensated according to the full set price, and other volumes shall not be claimed after compensation;
(5) Books and periodicals that are not clearly marked shall be compensated with reference to the prices of similar books and periodicals;
(6) After compensation, the reader can get back the original book, and the compensation can be returned to the reader in full;
(7) In case of special circumstances, it will be handled in conjunction with relevant departments according to specific circumstances. 13. All fines and book compensation of the library are included in the book purchase funds.
