Brief introduction of Chaoyang District, Beijing
Chaoyang District is located in the east of Beijing, bordering Dongcheng, Chongwen, Fengtai and Haidian District in the west, Changping and Shunyi in the north, County in the east and Daxing County in the south. The whole area is 470.8 square kilometers, with an average elevation of 34 meters. It is the largest area near Beijing. The resident population in the region is 6.5438+0.36 million, and the floating population is 500,000. Among the permanent residents, the urban population is1160,000, accounting for 83.8%, and the rural population is 200,000, accounting for 16.2%. The district is currently divided into 20 sub-district offices and 24 townships.

Chaoyang District has a long history. From the Qin Dynasty to the Sui and Tang Dynasties, this area belonged to Yangguang County, and then to Jixian County under Youzhou. The Liao Dynasty belonged to Yanjing Road, and the Jin Dynasty belonged to Daxing House in Zhongdu Road. In the Yuan Dynasty, Daxing House of Zhongdu Road was changed to Daxing County of Zhongdu Road. During the Ming and Qing Dynasties, it belonged to Shuntianfu, Shi Jing, and it still belongs to Daxing County. 1925 zoning, called the eastern suburb of Beijing. 1928 was changed to the eastern suburb of Beiping, and 1958 was changed to Chaoyang District with the approval of the State Council.
