Introduction to Shaw Library Shaw Library was officially put into use in 200 1 year1month. The main building (Building A) 1 1 floor, the south podium (Building B) has four floors and the west podium (Building C) has three floors, with a total construction area of 19200. With the support of Sir Run Run Shaw, it was named Run Shaw Library.

Shaw Library has six departments, including document construction department, circulation department, reading department, system department, information consulting department and library office, providing 2,500 reading seats.

Shaw Library adopts the management mode of open-shelf lending, integrated lending, all-round opening and unified lending and return. In the lobby on the second floor of the South podium, there are general book return office, general consultation office, campus card activation, registration and OPAC public retrieval terminal to provide readers with consultation, book return and retrieval services. Reading rooms and circulating stacks provide lending services for readers. Current issues, newspaper reading rooms and back issues are convenient for readers to inquire about newspapers and periodicals of the current year and previous years. The electronic reading room is located on the second floor of the west annex building, which is convenient for readers to consult the collection and network resources. The information consultation department is located on the first floor of the West Annex Building, providing readers with services such as sci-tech novelty retrieval, consulting and document delivery. At the same time, the readers are trained in the teaching of information retrieval course and the utilization of literature resources.

Shaw Library provides high-quality services for teachers, students and staff of the whole school with modern equipment technology and rich collection resources.

Introduction to the new campus library The new campus library was laid in July 2005 1, capped on August 25, 2006, and completed and delivered to the library in 2008. The library of the new campus has a building area of 35,600 square meters, with five floors, one underground and four above ground. The new campus library implements the management mode of integrated lending, all-round opening and unified lending and return. The new library is equipped with books, periodicals, newspaper reading rooms, electronic multimedia reading rooms, academic lecture halls, multi-function halls, academic seminar rooms, reading seats and readers' leisure areas.
