I. Structure of Classification Table
The classification table of China Library Classification consists of basic categories, broad categories, brief tables and detailed tables.

3. These 22 categories are subdivided into summary tables, and the summary tables are subdivided into detailed tables.
For example, G can be divided into: G0 (cultural theory), G 1 (current situation of cultural and educational undertakings around the world), G2 (information and knowledge dissemination), G3 (science and research), G4 (education) and G8 (sports). There are subdivisions under each category, such as G4 (education), G40 (pedagogy), G4 1 (ideological and political education, moral education), and so on. There are subdivisions under each category. For example, G6 1 (preschool education and preschool education), G62 (primary education), G63 (secondary education), G64 (higher education) and G65 (normal education) are subdivided under each category. And so on.
Second, identify symbols.
China Library Classification adopts a mixed numbering system of Chinese phonetic alphabet and Arabic numerals. For example, the classification number of "English Teaching Reference Books for Senior High School" is G633.4438+0, and that of "Internet Short Course" is TP393.4. In the actual work of the library, in order to facilitate shelving (putting books on shelves according to the classification rules or other order, which is convenient for management and search), it is generally necessary to add another number according to the title or author or others (such as serial number), and usually use the author's four-corner number to form a "classification" This symbol form is usually used as a way for library shelving management and readers to retrieve books.
