Kunqu Opera is a kind of singing art system that originated in Kunshan, Suzhou in the late Yuan Dynasty and early Ming Dynasty. It is a combination of singing, dancing and martial arts [1]. Now it also refers to its stage form, Kunqu Opera. Known as the "mother of hundreds of plays." In Kunqu Opera, drums and banquets control the singing rhythm, and Qu Di and Sanxian are the main accompaniment instruments. The pronunciation of the aria is "Zhongzhou Rhyme", while the northern song follows "Beizhongzhou" and the southern song follows "Nanzhongzhou".

Gu jianxiang, founder of kunshan cavity

Gu Jian, whose real name is Xiang Yu, was born in Qiandeng Town, Kunshan at the end of Yuan Dynasty. Date of birth and death is unknown. Gu Jian learned songs and sang from her aunt. I often associate with Yang Tiedi, a romantic blessing, Ni Yunlin, a romantic master, and Gu Aying, a romantic stranger, so I parted ways with him. He was the author of the eight-volume book "Romantic Disappeared People's Yuefu", and later he went blind. There are ten volumes of Tao Zhen Ye Ji, which is deeply loved by people. According to the article "Introduction to Southern Ci" written by Wen Zhiming, "There was Gu Jian in the Yuan Dynasty. Although it is three miles away from Kunshan, it lives in a thousand piers, and is good at writing southern ci and ancient fu. Kukuo Timur listened to his good songs and begged again and again to be unyielding. Good at Nanyin, he was praised as "Kunshan accent" at the beginning of the founding of the People's Republic of China [1], and Gu Jian was the founder of Kunqu Opera. There is Gu Jian Memorial Hall in Qiandeng Town, Kunshan today.
