How to set the default open mode of Apple mac?
Method 1. Change the default opening mode of files.

Step 1: Right-click the file.

Step 2: Press the Option key, and you will see that the "Open this way" option has changed to "Always open this way".

Step 3: Select an application in the "Always open this way" list.

Then this file should be opened in the application you just selected (in this case, Pixelmator), and this file will be opened in this application by default in the future.

Note: It only applies to this file you selected, but not to other files, including files of the same type.

Method two. Change the default opening mode of files of the same type.

Step 1: Right-click the document and select the "Show Introduction" option.

Step 2: Find the "open mode" item, click the inverted triangle, and select the default application you want to specify.

Step 3: Click the "Change All" button to take effect.

Note: To revert to the default application specified by the original OS X, simply perform the above steps again and select the original application.
