In 2022, the University of Electronic Science and Technology of China ranked 22nd and 2nd among electronic science and technology institutions. University of Electronic Science and Technology of China is located in Chengdu, Sichuan Province, formerly known as Chengdu Institute of Telecommunications Engineering. It was formed by the merger of telecommunications engineering majors of Jiaotong University (now Shanghai Jiaotong University and Xi Jiaotong University), Nanjing Institute of Technology (now Southeast University) and South China University of Technology (now South China University of Technology).

The school is a multi-disciplinary research university with electronic information science and technology as the core, engineering as the mainstay, science and engineering infiltration, and the coordinated development of science, engineering, management, literature and medicine, and has grown into the source of high technology and the base of innovative talents in the field of electronic information in China.

The school has four campuses, namely Qingshuihe, Shahe, Jiulidi and Yongning, with a total construction area of 6.5438+0.39 million square meters.
