Xinxiang university is a full-time private undergraduate college sponsored by Xinxiang Xintou Industrial Co., Ltd. with the approval of the people of China, the Ministry of Education and the People's Government of Henan Province.

The predecessor of the school is the New Academy of Sciences of Henan Vocational and Technical Teachers College, which was founded in 2003.
