Xi 'an Library was established by Xi 'an government in 1996. The first phase of the project broke ground on June 1997, 2000, and was officially opened and put into use on October 26th, 2000. It is located in Xi Economic and Technological Development Zone. The second phase of the project to be built, with a total area of 30,309.66 square meters. The first phase has a total construction area of 1575 1 m2, with five floors overall and six floors locally, with elegant and concise appearance. Since July 20 1 1, it has been opened free of charge in accordance with the Opinions of the Ministry of Culture and the Ministry of Finance on Promoting the Free Opening of National Art Museums, Public Libraries and Cultural Centers (Stations). It is a modern city central library with perfect reader service system and complete service functions. In 20 13, it was rated as "national second-class pavilion".

Xi 'an Library can provide readers with various services such as reading, borrowing, audio-visual, remote reading of digital resources, reference, lectures, exhibitions and so on. It also undertakes the functions of the National Cultural Information Resources Sharing Project Xi Branch, the National Digital Library Promotion Project and the Xi Ancient Books Protection Center, and is the office of the Xi Library Society. There are 80 staff members in the whole library, including 12 institutions, 23 service windows, 1200 reading seats, 10 multi-functional lecture halls, 10 exhibition halls, 12 branch libraries and 12 mobile service points. There are 920,000 paper books, 6.5438+0.2 million electronic books, 3,485 newspapers and periodicals, and about 3,000 readers are received every day. There are 309 computers, and OPAC (Public Bibliographic Query System) has been opened, realizing the remote query of library bibliographic data, including CNKI China Knowledge Network, Apabi Apabi digital library, reading newspapers and periodicals, New Oriental online education, Xi 'an intangible cultural heritage, Tianlu Forum audio, Wanfang video, Wanfang academic journals and other databases, and opening a mobile digital reading platform. The public welfare lecture "Tianlu Forum" is held regularly every Saturday afternoon, and relevant experts and scholars give lectures to the public free of charge. ILASⅱⅱ II II (Library Automation Integrated Management System) is adopted to manage various businesses and provide various services such as reading, borrowing, audio-visual, electronic reading, reference and consultation for various readers. Edited and published Pilgrim's Road Ying Ji (library journal), Xi Library Society Work Newsletter, Xi Decision Reference, etc. The service mode has been continuously optimized, the service quality has been greatly improved, and the public cultural service function has been highlighted, which has been recognized by the government and the masses.
