Hefei No.4 Middle School was founded in 1929, formerly known as Anhui Sixth Girls' Middle School. The original school site is located at the junction of Mengcheng Road and Anqing Road in the city center. It was the former site of "Luzhou Fu Xue" during the reign of Tang Huichang. During the Song and Yuan Dynasties, it was renamed Jingxian Academy and Sanxian Academy, with a long history and prosperous literature.
