Yunnan Normal University, referred to as "Yunnan Normal University", is located in Kunming, Yunnan Province. Founded by the people of China, the Ministry of Education and the People's Government of Yunnan Province, it was selected as the basic capacity building project of universities in the central and western regions of the country and the first-class discipline construction in Yunnan Province.
It is one of the three local normal universities in the pilot reform of free normal students in China. The Ministry of Education is the first batch of universities to build a demonstration base for studying in China and implement an excellent teacher training program. The second batch of demonstration universities in China to deepen the reform of innovation and entrepreneurship education have won scholarships from the China Municipal Government for foreign students in China.
School history:
Yunnan Normal University, formerly known as the Teachers College of National Southwest Associated University, was born in 1938. From 65438 to 0946, Peking University, Tsinghua University and Nankai University, which formed the National Southwest Associated University, were demobilized and returned to the north, and a teachers' college was established independently in Kunming, which was named the National Kunming Teachers' College.
1950 was renamed Kunming Normal University, 1984 was renamed Yunnan Normal University, and 1999 merged with Yunnan Institute of Education and Yunnan Institute of Physical Education to reorganize Yunnan Normal University. In August 2000, Yunnan Bank School was merged into Yunnan Normal University.
