Hainan Provincial Museum 1990 was formally established and has not held an exhibition for more than ten years. It was not until June 5438+February 2005 that the museum officially started construction. The first phase was completed in 2008 and opened to the public free of charge, and the second phase was fully opened on 20 18. Hainan Provincial Museum covers an area of more than 60 mu, with a total construction area of 44,500 square meters, exhibition hall area of about10.2 million square meters, and cultural relics warehouse of about 2,000 square meters. By 2022, Hainan Provincial Museum has a collection of 288 1 1 piece (set), including 1347 pieces (set) of precious cultural relics. Hainan Museum is a national first-class museum and a national 4A-level tourist attraction. The Direction of the Sea-Huaguang Reef No.1 Shipwreck Special Exhibition and Nanpipan Song-Nanhai Marine Civilization Exhibition won the "Top Ten Exhibition Awards" of the 10th and 15th National Museums respectively.
