The library implements full-open shelf service, and closed-circuit monitoring and access control systems are installed in the library, so readers can freely enter the library to borrow. There are more than 300 electronic inquiry terminals in the museum, and more than 30 notebook computers provide borrowing services. Xiyuan Branch Library is equipped with wireless network access equipment. All kinds of databases in the collection provide 7×24-hour network query, and remote access service was opened in 2009, which realized the utilization of electronic resources inside and outside the campus network. While providing routine services such as daily circulation, reading and multimedia network services, the library also provides services such as subject consultation, novelty retrieval, thematic retrieval, document delivery, scientific and technological information release, interlibrary loan, original text delivery, reader education, network technology application training, data exchange and thematic database construction. To undertake the teaching task of "literature retrieval and utilization" for undergraduate and graduate students in the whole school, hold lectures on library utilization for freshmen and new teachers every year, and carry out various database utilization knowledge training for teachers and students from time to time.
