Qingyuan Library was formerly known as Qingyuan County Library. Qingyuan County Library was founded on 1956, 1988 10. It was established as a prefecture-level city of Qingyuan with the approval of the State Council on 7 October, and was formally established on 28 February of the same year. Qingyuan County Library was upgraded to Qingyuan City Library. In 2003, the new Qingyuan Library was completed and officially opened to the public in 2006.

Laoqingyuan Library (Independent Library) is located in Building 8, Left Lane, Gong Xue Street, Qingcheng District, with a building area of 15 1 1 m2. The new building (non-independent building) is located on the fourth and fifth floors of the book museum building in Yinquan North Road, Xincheng District, with a construction area of 2,358 square meters. 20 13 Qingyuan old library was changed to Qingyuan children's library, and the establishment of 9 people was approved.
