Marcus Zusack was born in Sydney from 65438 to 0975. At the age of 30, he has become a writer with the most awards, the richest works and the widest readership in contemporary Australian literature. Up to now, it has been published: Reservoir Dogs, Ruben Wolf in Battle (American Library Association's best book for teenagers), Getting the Girl, and I am the Messenger (Australian Children's Book Association's Best Book Award of the Year).

The story of "The Book Thief" originated from the plot told by my parents when I was a child. During World War II, his parents witnessed the tragic situation after the Allied bombing of Hamburg, and also saw the tragedy of the Nazis escorting Jews to death camps.
