Who is Li Qingyun in history?
There is a reply on the internet that his ancestors have heard his lectures, and his descendants are alive to prove it.

I saw this blog on the Internet and said:

May 23, 2006 02:28 Chongqing Evening News

"The longest-lived person in China once lived in Kaixian County, Chongqing, and had contacts with Yang Senyou, a general of Sichuan Army at that time. Not only did he live to be 256 years old, but he also wrote a book saying that he was Li Qingyun ... "Recently, an article with the word 100 on Chongqing Kaixian Media was quickly reprinted by major websites, which aroused public concern about the mystery of Li Qingyun's longevity.

According to folklore, an old man in Kaixian lived to be 256 years old.

The folklore about Li Qingyun includes the place of birth, age, communication with Sichuan general Yang Sen and so on. Some people say that Li Qingyun was born in 1677 and died in 1933. At the age of 100 (1777), he won the go-vern-ment special award for his outstanding achievements in traditional Chinese medicine. At the age of 200, I still go to school to give lectures.

It is also said that Li Qingyun was a native of Sichuan Qijiang (present-day Chongqing) and lived mainly in the Qing Dynasty. There is also a legend that he was born near Shanghai. Li Qingyun loves sports and has traveled all over Sichuan, Shaanxi, Gansu, Henan, Hubei, Hunan, Guangxi, Jiangsu, Anhui, Fujian and even Xinjiang and Tibet. Every time he goes to a place, he will make a detailed investigation of the local customs, focusing on the situation of middle-aged and elderly people engaged in physical exercise and qigong guidance activities.

About his age, it is said that it is mainly based on his self-report in the book "The Secret of Immortality" written by 1928. He said in the book that the key to longevity lies in fitness. Li Qingyun put forward the exercise method of "combining rigidity with softness and harmonizing yin and yang". He thinks there are three reasons for his health and longevity: first, he has been a vegetarian for a long time; Second, keep your heart calm and cheerful; The third is to use medlar to boil water for tea all the year round.

Another version was 1926 (also known as 1927). Yang Sen was stationed in Wanxian (now Wanzhou), and his adjutant said that there was a strange Li Man Qingyun in Chenjiachang, Kaixian, who was over 250 years old. Yang Sen immediately ordered the adjutant to take Li Qingyun to Wanxian to preach the way of longevity. By the time Li arrived, Wanxian was already crowded with people watching. He is wearing a blue robe, a pair of thick black socks and sandals. He looks fifty or sixty years old, with bright eyes and a voice like Hong Zhong.

According to legend, Li 13 traveled all over the world with three old Chinese medicine practitioners. He lives in the deep mountains and forests all the year round and relies on medicinal materials to satisfy his hunger. Polygonum multiflorum Thunb, Polygonatum sibiricum, etc. I ate the most and used it for more than 200 years.

Another legend is that in 1926, when Yang Sen presided over the construction of "Wei Sen Bridge" (later renamed "Wan 'an Bridge") in Wanxian, he invited Li Qingyun to Wanzhou to attend the completion ceremony of the bridge. At that time, Wanxian county was crowded with people to see this 200-year-old Li Shenxian.

Journalist investigation

"Immortality" turned out to be a legend.

Since he is a local legend, is it recorded in the history books?

Recently, the reporter visited the libraries, archives, local chronicles compilation departments and people in Kaixian and Wanzhou, and consulted the figures of the Republic of China in the Historical Documentation Center of Chongqing Library, trying to find clues about Li Qingyun.

In Kaixian Archives, the staff said that there were rumors among the people that Li Qingyun had been active in Kaixian area, but no information about this person was found in the archives. Xiang, the old editor of Kaixian County Records, said that in the 1990s, when compiling Kaixian County Records, someone sent a manuscript about longevity, which was almost the same as folklore. It is recorded in this paper that Li Qingyun lived in Chenjiachang, Jukai County from 1806 to 18 14, and made a living by collecting herbs to treat diseases. "Because the people who provided this historical material at that time could not find more materials to prove it, the editor thought that it could not be included in the official history when examining and approving this draft. However, considering that he is a local legend, it is included in the' Appendix' of the county annals. "

The reporter came to Chenjiachang, Kaixian County and visited several elderly people in their 70s. The answer is "real person", but no one can prove it. As for the descendants of Li, no one knows.

Huang Yuhua, director of the research and editing office of Wanzhou District, also collected the same information when editing Wanzhou Annals, but he thought it was not credible, so he didn't include it.

So, is it recorded in earlier historical records? Reporter Dai Huang checked the Record of the Republic of China compiled in the 27th year of the Republic of China (1938), but found no trace of Li Qingyun. Wanzhou Library also has no words about Li Qingyun.

For the book "The Secret of Immortality" written by Li Qingyun at 1928, the reporter did not find an index in the libraries of the three places.

When attending the completion ceremony of Wan 'an Bridge in Wanxian County at the invitation of Yang Sen on 1927, the reporter consulted Chongqing City Records and Wanxian City Records (Bridge), etc. There was no record of Li's association with Yang in Wan 'an Bridge Records.

The statement that Li Qingyun was born in Qijiang in our city cannot be verified. The reporter asked friends in Kunming, Yunnan Province to search in the local literature and history department, and there was no record of Li Qingyun.

Yesterday, Associate Professor Rebecca from the Department of Genetics of the Third Military Medical University thought that people could not live to be 256 years old. She said that in theory, people's life expectancy is about 140 years old, but due to factors such as environment and disease, people generally don't live that long.

Mystery of Li Qingyun, a Longevity Old Man in Kaixian County

He who does not advance loses ground

It was recommended that Wanzhou Daily publish Li Qingyun, a 273-year-old man from Kaixian County in the 20th year of the Republic of China, which caused a sensation in Sichuan. From 65438 to 0986, the sixth issue of Qigong magazine, Liu Chengxun, a native of Kaixian County, published an article entitled "In memory of Li Qingyuan, the 256-year-old birthday girl" (that is, Li Qingyun). The author took advantage of the opportunity to participate in the compilation of local chronicles, and extensively collected Li Qingyun's activities in Kaixian County, and now sorted out the obtained information for the reference of those who are interested.

Li Qingyun, formerly known as Chen Yuanchang, whose native place is unknown, is said to be from near Shanghai and whose native place is Yunnan. About the 25th year of Jiaqing in Qing Dynasty (1820), he came to Chenjiachang in Kaixian alone. Li is tall and fat, bald and hairless, with smooth skin and strong muscles. He is about fifty years old. But he claimed to be 150 years old (he said that he lived in Kaixian County in his nineties), and he went to Kaixian County a hundred years ago. He could tell the names and situations of people near Chenjiachang a hundred years ago. Li Hui, a martial arts expert, makes a living by selling herbs. He first lived in Shilong Village (now Longfeng Village), Chen's hometown, and then moved to Kaixian County (now Pinghe Village, Shan Township), where he married and settled down. Li's living habits are different from ordinary people. He doesn't drink, drink tea, smoke, eat regularly and quantitatively, go to bed early and get up early. Sit quietly with your eyes closed in your spare time, put your hands on your knees, hold your head high and stay still for hours; The left hand has long nails, and a small bamboo tube is often used on the hand.

Finger protection nails, cut off when they grow to about six inches, and put them in wooden boxes for preservation. When Li died, there was a small box of nails. Usually quiet, never talk about irrelevant words. When people ask their age, they only answer that they are in their twenties. When and where were you born? Nobody knows. Although married, they didn't live together, just let him wash clothes and cook for him. Li is good at ophthalmology and orthopedics. 1920, he hired a boy of 14 years old to pick out medicines for him in this city. He went to the countryside to treat diseases all the year round, charging high medical fees to wealthy families to support the whole family. Li Xian often goes to the heart-piercing shop near Gao Qiao to invite people to play cards, and each time he loses about 120, so that the players can win enough money for the meal that day. Li is very kind to people and never gets angry, and his neighbors are more willing to get along with him. They all call him Mr. Li Er (because an old man who claims to be his brother visited him in Chenjiachang from Shanghai).

In the 16th year of the Republic of China (1927), at the invitation of the Sichuan warlord Yang Sen, he went to Wanxian to teach the way of keeping in good health. Yang Sen invited Li Jingruo as a guest and specially made a new suit for Li. He asked the photo studio to take photos and enlarge it and display it in the window, indicating "Wanzhou photo in the spring and March of the 16th year of the Republic of China, Xiao Xiang, a native of Kaixian County, 250 years old". For a time, newspapers in the province rushed to report as anecdotes, which caused a sensation in Sichuan. Because Li couldn't tell the secret of keeping healthy, he was sent home soon. In the 20th year of the Republic of China (193 1), Wanzhou Daily published another article on September 15th: "Kaixian people are 273 years old, and they went to Wanwan from Chenjiachang last night to live in the park. The old man came to Wan Wan at the invitation of Mr. Wang. During his stay in Wan Wan, the old man talked about the way to live forever. Li Huiwan died in the second year (1933) and was buried in Yixue Village, Changsha Town, Kaixian County.

Li Qingyun lived in Kaixian County for about 1 10 years, and there are many legends. Legend has it that he was a general under Shi Dakai of the Taiping Heavenly Kingdom and came to Sichuan with Shi Dakai. When Shi Dakai was wiped out in the Dadu River, Chen Yuanchang changed his name to Li Qingyun, disguised as a herbalist, and fled to Chenjiachang, Kaixian County for refuge. He can tell many stories about the Taiping Rebellion. (Note: Shi Dakai was captured in Dadu River on 1863, while Li Zao came to Kaixian County more than 40 years ago). He also said that he could escape from fire and water, as well as money and goods. So although he doesn't earn much by buying medicine, he has a large family. Playing cards for a long time only loses and doesn't win. I haven't seen anyone who is short of money. Others say that he is good at physiognomy. When Zhang Ji, a native of South Gate of Kaixian County, was young, Li Suan was determined to be a big official. After the agreement is finalized, reward him with two stones and millet. Later, Zhang became the brigade commander of the Sichuan warlord and really gave him two stones of millet as a reward.

Mr. Hu, an 80-year-old man from Qingfu Town, Gaoxian County, Sichuan Province, showed his photos in 1986, and also provided the written materials of collecting herbs in the mountains when he was in his prime. The feat of holding a knife against a tiger, Ganoderma lucidum dug like a human head, and the story of Yang Sen's birthday to Li Zhushou. The 87-year-old Mr. Kaixian, No.24 Chengquan Lane, Changzhou City, also published an article recalling Li (mistaken behavior) in the casserole No.6 of 1986 Qigong magazine.

Li Qingyun is not from Kaixian County. His age and experience before he came to Kaixian County could not be verified by himself. Coupled with the folk oral spread, it is more and more mysterious. This aroused the interest of the great warlord Yang Sen, and even hired him to go to Wanxian to teach fitness and take photos in the newspaper.

How old is Li Qingyun? It is still a mystery. According to the available information, there is no doubt that Li Qingyun is at least 170 years old. Xiang is a young man who was hired after he came to Kaixian County. His grandfather is a native and now lives in Changsha Town. He was born in 1806, lived for 93 years and died in 1899. At that time, Li Qingyun was still alive. Xiangyang 14 years old went to collect herbs for Li, who was already an old man in his fifties. Based on this calculation, Li Qingyun was born in the 25th year of Qianlong (1760), died in 1933, and lived at least 170 years. After Li's death, he arranged a funeral. At that time, he was thirty years old, and the image he saw of Li was not senile. According to the image of Li seen by Xiang Zhiyang and his descendants, it is concluded that Li 170 also conforms to the general law. Wanxian Daily's statement that it is 270 years old is doubtful.
