Beijing university of chemical technology Library was built in 1958. At the beginning of the building, it was called the library, located in the south building of Hepingli, with only one staff member, three cabins and thousands of books. 1960 during the summer vacation, the library moved into a newly completed teaching building with a total area of about 500 square meters and was renamed as the library. 1In July, 964, the newly-built library building with an area of 4,200 square meters was completed, which was already superior in the universities at that time, and fundamentally changed the conditions of the library. By 1966, the library's collection has increased to nearly 200,000 volumes, with 26 staff members, and it has become a university library taking shape.
