This is the first time that the leading comrades of the Central Committee clearly put forward that "July 1st" is the anniversary of the birth of the Party.

At that time, only Dong and I attended an important meeting in Yan 'an. They recalled that the first university was held in July, but they couldn't remember the exact date of the meeting. Due to the lack of archival materials, it is impossible to verify it for a while, so July of 1 is determined as the anniversary of the birth of the party.

As the anniversary of the party's birth, July 1st first appeared in the central document of June 194 1. At that time, the Central Committee of * * * issued the "Instructions on the 20th Anniversary of the Birth of China * * * Production Party and the 4th Anniversary of War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression".

The instruction said: "July 1st this year is the 20th anniversary of the birth of the Communist Party of China (CPC), and July 7th is the 4th anniversary of War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression, China. All anti-Japanese base areas should hold separate meetings, adopt various methods to hold commemorative meetings, and publish special issues or editions in various publications. " This is the first document made in the name of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China to commemorate July 1 day as the anniversary of the birth of the Party.

It was not until the end of 1970s that the opening date of the First National Congress of the Communist Party of China was clearly verified by party history workers. According to the newly discovered historical materials and research results, the opening date of the first congress is determined to be 192 1 year on July 23rd.
