Shanxi Library consists of Wen Yuan Library and Changfeng Library. Wen Yuan Pavilion is located atNo. 1 Wen Yuan Lane, Jiefang South Road, with a total construction area of 1.8 million square meters. The center of the main building has four floors and three wings, and its style is simple, heavy and elegant. It was once listed as one of the architectural models of the National Library. Wen Yuan Museum includes Shanxi Children's Library and Shanxi Ancient Books Protection Center. As the main library area of Shanxi Library, Changfeng Pavilion is located in the "Cultural Island" of Changfeng Business District in Taiyuan City. It is one of the large-scale public cultural facilities construction projects in the province during the Eleventh Five-Year Plan period. It covers an area of 60 mu, with a building area of 50,000 square meters and a designed collection of 7 million books. There are 27 reading rooms of all kinds, which can accommodate 3000 people at the same time, as well as audio-visual room, lecture hall, multi-function hall, exhibition hall and readers' choice.
