The new campus of Northwest Normal University belongs to two ordinary universities established by Northwest Normal University, while the campus of Zhixing College belongs to three independent colleges. So it is geographically adjacent, north of the old campus of Normal University 1000 meters.
Northwest Normal University, located in Lanzhou, an important town on the Silk Road, was jointly established by Gansu Provincial People's Government, China People's Government and Ministry of Education, and was selected as one of the 14 universities in the western region supported by the state.
As of September 20 14, the school headquarters covers an area of 960 mu, the new campus covers an area of 729 mu, and the total planned building area of the school building is 826,000 square meters. Zhixing College of Northwest Normal University was established in 1999, and was confirmed by the Ministry of Education as the first batch of independent colleges in Gansu Province in February 2004. It is an ordinary institution of higher learning with a brand-new mechanism and mode, with independent legal personality and undergraduate level. The college enrolls students for the whole country, and the enrollment plan is included in the national general higher education unified recruitment plan. Upon completion of the course, students will be awarded the graduation certificate of Zhixing College of Northwest Normal University, and those who meet the conditions for awarding bachelor's degree will be awarded the bachelor's degree certificate of Zhixing College of Northwest Normal University.
