Tsinghua University Library was founded in 19 16. It is divided into old library, new library and several college branches, with a collection of 3.76 million books. The new museum was built in September of 199 1 2000. It was donated, funded by the State Education Commission, designed by Academician Tsinghua University Guan, and later named Shaw Hall. In order to welcome the centenary celebration, the school plans to build the fourth phase of the library, namely the North Building.
