The National Library of China is located at No.33, Zhongguancun South Street, Beijing, adjacent to the Gaoliang River in Baishiqiao and Zizhuyuan Park in Haidian District. It is the National General Library, the National Bibliography Center and the National Ancient Books Protection Center. It is one of the largest and most advanced national libraries in the world. Selected as the third batch of China 20th century architectural heritage projects. 20 18, 10, 1 1, was selected as "National Practical Education Base for Primary and Secondary School Students".

Collection resources

According to the library official website information from June, 2065438 to October, 2008, the National Library of China collected 37,686,200 books, including nearly 2 million ancient books. The total amount of digital resources exceeds 1000TB. The collection has inherited the royal collections of the past dynasties since the Southern Song Dynasty and the private collections of many famous artists since the Ming and Qing Dynasties. The earliest collection can be traced back to Oracle Bone Inscriptions in Yin Ruins more than 3,000 years ago.

Special collections include more than 2.8 million copies of Dunhuang suicide notes, western region documents, precious ancient books, epigraphy rubbings, ancient maps, ancient books in minority languages, and famous manuscripts. Wen Jingue's Notes on Dunhuang, Zhao Zang, Yongle Dadian and Si Quan Shu are also called the "four academic collections" of the National Library of China.
