Start a parent-child reading journey together.
I've always wanted to take Noble to the library and lend her some books to familiarize her with the environment outside her home and nursery. But it's always on weekends, and I'm too lazy to move. I think it's troublesome to take a cart and diapers to the library just in case. However, at this rate, the library will never go. Finally, at Noble's ten-month weekend, I made up my mind to take her to the library.

Noble was very excited when he came to the library for the first time. She kept looking around when I held her. When I sat down, she either crawled around on the carpet or held the back of the bench and chattered. A librarian also came to greet Norbert and tease her. Noble will wave to people, but she won't smile when she meets strangers. In order to let her be generous in front of unfamiliar people or unfamiliar environment in the future, I have to take her out often. The library is naturally a good place.

There are people of all ages in the library, old and young, and naturally there are children. I brought some picture books from the children's library area and looked through them on the bench with Noble. A mother came to the children's library with a boy over one year old and a boy around three years old. Her bag is empty. Maybe she just returned the book and came to borrow a new book. She put the boy's treasure on the ground, quickly took some books from the shelf and dragged the two children away. You see, even with two children, it is easy to borrow and return books from the library. You don't have any trouble yourself.

The books in the library are arranged according to the initials of the authors. I took 10 a picture book, and my grand plan is to borrow 10 at a time and read all the books in the whole picture book area slowly.

When I went to the service desk for formalities, I saw a middle-aged black woman in front of me. The suitcase is full of books, most of which are for children, so there must be forty or fifty books. The administrator scanned a book from place to place and chatted with her over and over again. Looks like she's an old customer. It seems true that Americans take suitcases to the library to borrow books from their children. It's my first time here and I have no experience. 10 Although there are not many books, they are still not light. I have no bag, let alone a suitcase. Fortunately, there is a big bag with diapers and bottles that Noble often takes when he goes out. You can also put books in it. Next time, you should prepare a bag to borrow and return books.

Finally, after reading the black woman in front, I went up to say hello to the librarian and put the book of 10 on the counter for her to scan. I didn't have to wait, so I asked her if there was an upper limit for borrowing books from the library. This question really stumped her. She said with a smile, I really haven't heard of an upper limit. You can borrow as much as you want, and 100 books will do. oh . . I said, good. I have never borrowed more than 10, so I am curious.

For a ten-month-old baby, books are toys. Noble sometimes throws books around and sometimes picks up a book and eats it. But I borrowed this book to read with her. I usually read a book or two with her in the evening. Slowly, she will turn page by page, flanging and talking. You can see that she is interested in some books. For example, there is a picture book about primates. As soon as Noble opened it, he pointed to the little monkey inside and screamed for me to see.

For me, a Chinese mother, reading picture books with Noble is also a process of self-growth. On the one hand, I can read the books that American children read when they were young with my children, just like I spent my childhood here again. On the other hand, I am not ashamed to say that I can learn new words and expressions, haha. I can learn a lot from the book 10 borrowed for the first time. For example, the names of various small animals (cubs, deer, golden pheasant, cubs). Verb expressions, such as bending knees and swinging. Do you know everything? I really didn't know before reading these picture books.

Although there were some picture books sent by others at home before, the first time we borrowed books from the library marked the official start of our parent-child reading journey. I hope Noble can enjoy reading and learn from it. I also hope that I can persist in studying with noble and grow up with noble.
