There is no concentrated storyline in the whole play. These three scenes reflect three times: the late Qing Dynasty, the period of warlord scuffle and after the victory of the Anti-Japanese War. Through the various events of Yutai Teahouse in Beijing Teahouse in these three different periods, and through more than 70 fresh people coming in and out of the teahouse, it reflects the social changes of half a century.

2. Longxugou

By comparing the old society with the new one, the script praises the deep concern of the Party and the people's government for the working people, and shows the love of the urban poor who have gone through hardships for the new China. This is an ode to New Beijing and China.

3. "Face problem"

The script was written in the period of War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression, and the protagonist Tong Jingming worked as a secretary for half his life and never got up. Under the extremely difficult conditions in the home front, instead of contributing to the war of resistance, he tried his best to maintain a ridiculous face and eventually made a fool of himself.

4. Looking at West Chang 'an from afar

The script is a satire based on the related materials of Li Wanming's political fraud case exposed in the 1950s. Li Wancheng, a political editor, took advantage of the lax management system of some government departments and the bureaucratic style of a few cadres, forged documents and historical materials by using the people's psychology of worshipping heroes, and deceived the Central Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry from an ordinary cadre to an important position as chief of staff and division commander of the army, and finally fell into the French Open.

5. Residual fog

The script is set in the mountain city of Chongqing 1939. The director of writing and washing was greedy for power and money, first occupying the escaped cloth, then hooking up with the traitor Xu, and finally being dismissed and arrested. Centered on this, the script depicts some ugly phenomena such as drag out an ignoble existence, callousness, and having fun in the rear area at the time of national disaster and national peril. The title of Remnant Fog places the author's confidence in getting rid of all these ugly phenomena and winning the victory of the Anti-Japanese War.
