Xuchang Library does not close at noon, and its service hours are from Tuesday to Sunday in winter and spring (8:30 to 18: 10) and from Tuesday to Sunday in summer and autumn (8:30 to 18:40).

Xuchang Library was founded in 1952, and the new library was opened to the public on May 28th, 1965. The new library is located in Zhaowan Road, Dongcheng District, Xuchang City. It is equipped with modern service facilities such as automatic registration system, independent lending and returning system, special reading equipment for the disabled, electronic reading system, etc., which realizes modernization of management means, automation of business construction and humanization of reader service.
