The Association, formerly known as the China Library Association, was founded in 1925 and became one of the sponsors of the International Federation of Library Associations and Institutions (IFLA) in 1927. On July 9th, 1979- 16, the inaugural meeting and the first member representative meeting of the association were held in Taiyuan, Shanxi. In August of the same year, he joined the China Association for Science and Technology. In May, our association resumed its legal seat in IFLA. The Association is a national, public welfare, academic and non-profit social organization composed of scientific and technological workers from libraries and related industries or institutions in China. It is a bridge and link between the party and the government and librarians, and an important social force to guide the library industry to fully implement the Scientific Outlook on Development, scientific management, promote scientific and technological progress, build an innovative country and develop China's library cause.
