Susan asked Wang Jinglong to work hard and vowed not to follow others. Wang Jinglong studied hard, went to Beijing for the second time to catch the exam, and was admitted to the eighth Jinshi. The procuress secretly sold Susan to Shen Hong, a horse dealer in Shanxi, as a concubine at the price of 1200 silver. Shen Hong took Susan back to her hometown. Shen Hong has been doing business outside for a long time. His wife Pi Shi had an affair with her neighbor Zhao Ang, conspired with Zhao Ang to poison Shen Hong, framed Susan, and bribed her with 1200 silver. A county magistrate tortured Susan into confessing by taking bribes and bending the law. Su San was sentenced to death, but had to give in to this punishment, and was sentenced to death and detained on death row. Wang Jinglong, who was inspecting Shanxi Province, learned that Su San had committed a capital crime, so he made an unannounced visit to Hongtong County to understand Su San's grievances and immediately escorted all the personnel involved in Su San's case back to Taiyuan.
In order to avert suspicion, Wang Jinglong entrusted Liu Tuguan to try the case on his behalf. Liu's fair judgment, Su Sanqi's unjust case was rehabilitated, the real criminals were brought to justice, and corrupt officials were dismissed for investigation. Susan was lucky to meet Wang Jinglong again in a legendary way. Feng Menglong, a novelist in the Ming Dynasty, wrote "Yu Tang Chun is in trouble and meets her husband", which was included in "Warning Records" and spread to future generations. Peking Opera and many local operas have also been compiled into Su San Qi Jie and Yu Tang Chun, which are widely performed.
