Bengbu University, located in Bengbu City, Anhui Province, is an ordinary undergraduate college mainly engaged in engineering, science, management, literature, teaching and arts approved by the Ministry of Education. The school was formed by the merger of Bengbu College, Bengbu Education College and Bengbu Staff University in 2004, and was later renamed as Bengbu College.
By the end of 2065438+September 2006, the school had two campuses, Zi Long Lake and Zhanggongshan, covering an area of 1300 mu, with a total area of 289,900 square meters. The total value of teaching instruments and equipment is/kloc-0.03 billion yuan, there are more than 1 1292 seats in multimedia classrooms and voice laboratories, and there are more than 2.07 million paper books in the collection. There are nearly 15000 full-time students.
The school was founded in 1978, formerly known as Bengbu Teachers College of Anhui University. Three classes of Chinese, Mathematics and Physics were enrolled, with students 109. Soon it was renamed Bengbu Teachers' College of Anhui Normal University. Later, it was renamed as Bengbu Normal College of Anhui Normal University in September 1979, Bengbu Normal College in August 1980, and Bengbu Education College in August 1982.
The school has successively won the honorary titles of "National Advanced Collective for Network Training of College Teachers", "Advanced Collective for Training College Teachers in Anhui Province", "Demonstration Unit for Employment of College Graduates in Anhui Province" and the first batch of "Civilized Units" project construction units in Anhui Province.
