Huxi Campus is a new campus of Chongqing University located in Chongqing University Town, also known as Chongqing University Area D, which is isomorphic with Area A, Area B and Area C of the old campus to form the new Chongqing University.
Huxi Campus of Chongqing University is a new campus where Chongqing University started the new campus construction project in 2002. It was completed and put into use in June 2005. The new campus is located in Huxi Town, Shapingba District, Chongqing, so it was named Huxi Campus of Chongqing University. The planned land area of Huxi Campus is 3,670 mu. Among them, 2,628 mu is teaching land, and 1.042 mu is residential land for faculty and staff and development land.

Huxi Campus, located in the planned new town in western Chongqing, is an important part of Chongqing University Town. The distance between the campus and the main campus located in Shapingba Street is about 15km, with Geleshan National Forest Park in the east and Jinyun Mountain National Forest Park in the west.
The terrain is shallow and hilly, the vision is wide, and the natural environment is good. The winding Huxi River flows through the south boundary of the campus. There are about 300 acres of ecological park-Pine Forest Park planned in the campus.
