Zhoukou normal university, located in Zhoukou City, Henan Province, is a full-time undergraduate college. The school was founded in 1973, and was upgraded to zhoukou normal university with the approval of the Ministry of Education in 2002.

The school covers an area of 1.600 mu with a building area of 7 1.000 square meters. Library collection 1.96 million books. The school has 20 teaching colleges (departments), 65 undergraduate majors, 1530 faculty members and more than 24,000 full-time students.

In 20 13-20 17, the school undertook 30 national natural science projects, 2 social science fund projects, 5 national commonweal agricultural projects, 5 Ministry of Education projects, 45 provincial government bidding projects, and 2 provincial science and technology plans. More than 4,700 academic papers have been published, including 2 SCI papers10 and 400 core journals10. The intelligent charging pile for electric vehicles jointly developed with Henan Ruite Electric Co., Ltd. has been put into production.
