Historical Evolution of Hubei Huangshi Vocational College of Mechanical and Electrical Technology
Hubei Huangshi Vocational College of Mechanical and Electrical Technology was founded in 1979 as WISCO Mining Technical School, which mainly trains skilled workers for WISCO mining system.

1997, WISCO Mine Technical School was renamed WISCO Mine Senior Technical School;

In 2004, WISCO Mine Senior Technical School was upgraded to Hubei Huangshi Electromechanical Vocational and Technical College;

In 2005, with the consent of the Hubei Provincial People's Government, Hubei Huangshi Vocational College of Electromechanical Technology moved to Wuhan (the new campus of the college is located in Wuhan Yangluo Economic Development Zone, covering an area of 850 mu, and the Huangshi campus is located at the southern foot of the "Three Chu First Mountain", covering an area of 463 mu, with a construction area of 98,565.5438+0 square meters and a library collection of 6,543,800 books);

In 2007, Hubei Huangshi Mechanical and Electrical Vocational and Technical College and Wuhan No.1 Technical School merged into Wuhan Engineering Vocational and Technical College, and a new Wuhan Engineering Vocational and Technical College was established through the reorganization of the three schools.

The newly established Wuhan Engineering Vocational and Technical College is sponsored by Wuhan Iron and Steel (Group) Company, led by Wuhan Iron and Steel Group Company, and its business is managed by the Provincial Education Department.
