Xi 'an Conservatory of Music, referred to as "Yin Xi" for short, was founded in June of 1949 and June of 10. Xi Conservatory of Music is a full-time ordinary institution of higher learning that trains music and art professionals. It is one of the national 1 1 independent music colleges and the only independent institution of higher learning in northwest China. The school is a master's degree awarding unit.
As of May 2020, the school has a total area of 89,548.27 square meters and a building area of about 289,000 square meters. There are 525 faculty members and 4636 full-time students. The school has 1 1 teaching units, including composition department, music department, piano department, orchestra department, national instrumental music department, vocal music department, modern conservatory of music, music education department, dance department, ideological and political teaching theory research department and basic department. In addition, it also has the Northwest National Music Research Center, the "Belt and Road" Music and Culture Research Institute, the library and the art center.
