Design intent:
Books are the bridge for children to master knowledge. So, how much do children know about bookstores? In the questionnaire survey of children, we found that they seldom go to bookstores. They can name KFC, McDonald's and some shopping malls in one breath, but they know little about bookstores. We hope that through this activity, parents will pay attention to their children's early reading and let them know the meaning of books to people.
Purpose:
1. Let children know that books are rich in knowledge, and bookstores are places to sell books.
2. Stimulate children's affection for books, cultivate children's good reading habits and know how to care for books.
Prepare:
1. Go to the bookstore to contact. I hope the clerk will warmly receive us and cooperate with us to do a good job of visiting.
2. Hold a parent-teacher meeting to introduce parents to the intention of visiting the bookstore and the ways to guide their children to read.
Everyone has prepared the change for books.
Activity 1 Visit Xinhua Bookstore
1. Stimulate children's interest in visiting bookstores.
Today, the teacher will take you to visit a place that sells things different from department stores, food stores and grain stores. Guess where it is?
2. Lead the children to observe the bookstore on the spot.
① Observing the signs of bookstores, we know that some bookstores have the words "Xinhua Bookstore".
② Observe the layout characteristics of the bookstore window.
Visit the bookstore and feel the atmosphere of the bookstore, knowing that the quiet atmosphere of the bookstore is different from other shopping malls.
Count the number of books in the bookstore and feel the kinds of books.
⑤ Observe how adults read and choose books, and how salespeople serve customers. Teachers pay attention to guiding children to observe adults' preconceptions when choosing and reading books, thus revealing people's desire for books and knowledge.
3. Take out the children's encyclopedia, ask the children if they know the title and content of this book, and then tell them that there are many things we want to know in this book, such as where people come from, why the stars in the sky twinkle and so on. Finally, ask a child to buy this set of books on behalf of everyone, and then read it carefully when you go back to kindergarten.
Take the whole class to the children's reading area and tell everyone that in order to let children choose their favorite books, the bookstore has specially opened up a children's reading area. Here, everyone can read and choose books like adults.
Activity expansion:
1. Go back to the garden to discuss the difference between bookstores and other stores and the relationship between bookstores and people's daily lives.
2. Let the children tell their parents how they feel after visiting the bookstore. Please ask mom and dad to cooperate with us to introduce bamboo slips, the evolution of Chinese characters, printing and other related knowledge to children to stimulate their reading interest.
Suggestion:
When visiting, you can combine the group and the group, or you can let the children accompany you freely.
Activity 2 Go to the bookstore with my parents.
1. Today we are going to the bookstore with our parents. Every child can find his favorite book to read, or let his parents tell stories in the book and ask them questions about the book.
Parents are invited to show their children around every area of the bookstore, introduce various books to their children and let them know that the books in the bookstore are classified.
3. Ask parents to choose a favorite children's book and choose a passage to tell their children, so that they can feel the charm of the book. You should know that there are many fascinating stories in the book and a lot of knowledge that even adults don't know.
4. Children and parents each choose a favorite book to read carefully, and parents consciously infect their children with their reading enthusiasm and interest.
Let each child buy a book he likes with his pocket money.
Activity expansion:
1. Let children bring a book they like to the garden and set up a "small bookstore" for everyone to exchange reading or play role games.
2. When you come to the park, you can guide the children to make a small book and tell the contents of the book.
3. Provide glue, guide children to repair books by themselves, and educate children to care for books.
4. Organize a "story poetry performance", requiring every child to participate, and the performance content must be heard or seen by himself through books. You can perform independently or with your parents.
Postscript:
Educational activities in kindergartens should not be limited to teachers and children. Children's early reading needs the guidance of teachers and the active participation of every parent. We hope that through this parent-child activity, parents will realize that they should be the first teacher for their children to read.
