Two. Brief introduction of Jilin Judicial Police Vocational College
The college is located in Changchun and Helong Economic Development Zone, with an educational land of 330,000 square meters and a total construction area of 78,000 square meters. There are mainly modern teaching buildings, advanced shooting halls, police sports training venues, sports fields with standardized runways, uniform student apartments, spacious and bright student canteens, rich teaching auxiliary buildings (libraries) and training centers. The second phase of the campus construction project is under way. The brand-new campus can accommodate 6000 full-time college students and undertake the training of more than 2000 judicial police in the province every year. It is the cradle of training judicial police officers.
The goal of the college is to become the only professional college of judicial police officers in the province, the first-class in the northeast and the influential in the whole country.

As a school with a special industry nature, the college highlights the industry characteristics in student management, implements police management for students, promotes the school motto education with the content of "sincerity, wisdom, law and constancy" and the school spirit construction with the content of "enterprising, diligent, rigorous and civilized".
Full-time teachers 173, 54 coaches, double-qualified teachers. More than 50% of the teachers have a postgraduate degree, 25 are professors, 50 are associate professors and 69 are lecturers. A group of professional and curriculum leaders have great influence in the field of legal education and applied law research, and have achieved hundreds of teaching and scientific research achievements, including international achievements. These research results are mainly distributed in the fields of law, vocational education and so on, and have a wide influence in the academic field of law.
The academic system of the college is three years. College recruits new high school graduates from more than 20 provinces, municipalities and autonomous regions through the unified national college entrance examination and separate enrollment in spring. At present, there are nearly 4,000 college students and 3,000 undergraduates.
The college closely relies on the industry and strives to create a characteristic specialty. After years of professional construction, most of the majors of College 14 are unique in the province, forming a professional structure with the characteristics of our college. The college now has three departments and two teaching institutions: prison police department, applied law department, judicial technology department, basic department and police physical education teaching and research department. 14 the state control and legal service majors of the college enroll students in batches. They are state-controlled majors: criminal execution, criminal investigation technology, drug rehabilitation technology, administrative execution, judicial police, judicial information technology, criminal psychology measurement and correction technology, and judicial information security; Legal service major: legal secretary, legal affairs, security technology, forensic technology, community correction, judicial assistant.
The college education system implements double-degree education. College is a self-taught undergraduate examination center of Jilin University Law School approved by the education department. Students enter the college for joint reading, and their academic achievements in the same subject are replaced by credits, such as foreign languages, politics and basic law. Candidates can take nine specialized courses on the basis of completing their junior college studies, and they can also obtain an undergraduate diploma from the Law School of Jilin University.
The college also trains students in skills such as speed recording, computer, foreign languages, psychological counseling, martial arts and Sanda, which greatly improves their employability.
According to the talent training objectives of each major, the college has focused on strengthening students' physical training, Sanda, grappling and fighting training, skills training to deal with emergencies, and will training to overcome the limits of survival. The use of police firearms and riot prevention skills will be tested as students' comprehensive vocational skills before graduation, so as to truly realize the training goal of "application and actual combat" and lay a good foundation for students to better adapt to future political and legal practice.
After graduation, the college will issue a diploma recognized by the state, and the employment guidance center of Jilin Province will issue an employment registration card (dispatch card). Graduates of various majors can apply for civil servants at all levels according to the regulations, or they can choose from both sides, be recommended by the college or choose their own jobs.
In today's fierce employment competition, the college has created a talent training model for students that pays equal attention to academic education and professional skills training, vocational qualification training and comprehensive ability improvement. In recent years, more than half of college graduates have been employed in counterpart jobs. In the recruitment plan of civil servants in the judicial administrative system of the whole province, there are nearly 300 positions in the professional recruitment plan of judicial police college, accounting for 1/3 of the total number of graduates. College graduates are admitted to the judicial people's police and the public security people's police, accounting for more than 30% of the total number of graduates.
