April 23rd every year is declared as World Reading Day by UNESCO, aiming at encouraging more people to read and promoting reading culture.

The purpose of World Reading Day is to raise people's awareness and attention to reading, cultivate their interest and hobby in reading, and at the same time call on people to participate in the action of protecting the world cultural heritage and inheriting cultural traditions.
