How to sort Apple Music albums on Mac and mobile devices?
Successful artists have a large number of works, which is obvious in the music application on your device. Ideally, it would be helpful to sort Apple Music albums in chronological order, although this is not automatic. Sorting is easy on both Mac and mobile devices.

How do I sort Apple Music albums on my Mac?

To sort all albums on your computer by artist and year:

1. Open the music application from Mac Dock.

2. Click the photo album under the gallery on the left side of the screen.

3. Click View on the music toolbar.

4. Select the Show View option.

5. Under the View option, select the artist next to the sorting method.

6. Under View Options, select Year next to Current Year.

7. Close the view options window.

You can also drill down and sort artist content by year (only in your database):

1. Open the music application from Mac Dock.

2. Search for artists in the search box in the upper left corner.

3. Click the artist under the gallery on the left side of the screen.

4. Click View on the music toolbar.

5. Select the Show View option.

6. Select the year next to the album sorting basis.

7. Close the view options window.

How to sort Apple Music albums on iPhone and iPad?

On your best iPhone or iPad, you can also sort albums by artist and year. Do the following:

1. Click the music application on the home screen.

2. Select a library.

3. Choose an artist.

4. Find your artist.

5. Click Sort in the upper right corner.

6. Choose the latest priority or the earliest priority according to your preference.
