Zhaoming Primary School in Xiangyang City, founded in 1903 (late Qing Dynasty, Guangxu 29 years), is the earliest government-run school in northwest Hubei. At that time, the school was named Xiangyang County Senior Primary School. The school changed its address twice and changed its name to Jiugeng. 1984 was officially named as Zhaoming Primary School in Xiangfan City. The school is located in the inner ring road of West Street, Xiangcheng District, Xiangyang City, Hubei Province, with the historic Zhaomingtai in the east and the rippling moat in the west.
